Glutinous Rice Balls

These Black Glutinous Rice Balls were first dropped into hot boiling water and when they were cooked, they floated on the surface of the boiling water.

They were then scooped up quickly and rolled onto grated Fresh Coconut or onto Roasted Sesame Seeds and served at room temperature.

You can serve them as after dinner desserts or just having them with Tea or Coffee as a sweet snack!  Ideal after a Spicy Hot Malaysian Meal!

In the middle of the balls, they had been prestuffed with sweet Red Bean paste.

These balls were made out of white glutinous rice flour.
The finished products looked “neat ,” served on paper-cups.

Looks good served at parties after a savoury meal!

These sweets are very common in Asian markets!
